Always in a serendipitous fashion you run into that unfound young musician that lifts your heart and brings on a smile. The music is from the heart there is no agent or need to finance the next meal it just flows out. I once again had that experience when I showed up early to shoot the Sounders FC March to the Match which starts in Pioneer Square Seattle. Pioneer Square is a city park that on any given day is home to many homeless citizens of Seattle. It is a showcase for Native American art along with edgy artwork from garbage. The Sounders March to Match requires a stage and a sound system which was being setup when this young man showed up with mom and sister as the entourage. The mom only smiled when her son had his guitar in hand his sister was bored and texting friends. This young man jumped up on stage and cranked up the amps and mesmerized the crowd of 25 homeless people. This was his day in the sun afterword I did a Google and found some self-made Myspace video. Several hours later he was a guest guitar for the main act and while good not the same. The video has some real videographer problems but get past that and see and hear music from the heart.
