Metro Video Producer Best broadcast team in the Premier Development League

(SEATTLE, WA) – As the city of Seattle recovers from hosting the 2009 MLS Cup Final, the Seattle
Wolves Football Club is celebrating a national award from the United Soccer Leagues’ Annual General Meeting in Tampa, Florida.On November 20th at the USL Hall of Fame and Awards Dinner the league recognized various teams and individuals for their achievements in 2009. The Seattle Wolves capped an incredible inaugural season in the USL Premier Development League by claiming the 2009 Media Department of the Year Award. Out of sixty-eight possible teams from the United States and Canada, the Wolves earned the award for their communications and media relations efforts. Seattle was also the only team from the PDL Northwest Division to receive an accolade at the AGM.When asked about this accomplishment, Seattle’s Director of Public Relations Alex Caulfield stated, “We are so thrilled to be acknowledged for our hard work throughout the year. This is truly the result of a collective effort, and the award belongs to the entire media department.”Caulfield continues, “It was so enjoyable directing hard working staff members like Jeremy Supinksi and
Michael Johnston. Both of those individuals contributed to the cause, along with our entire broadcast team at Metro Video Producer.”This achievement caps a highly successful year for the Emerald City club, as the Wolves reached the PDL postseason and advanced to the Northwest Division Final. Moreover, standouts Ely Allen and Daniel Scott were both recognized for their work on the pitch by being named to the PDL National Team of the Year From a media perspective Seattle expanded its brand in 2009 by facilitating strong football-specific partnerships.The Wolves featured regularly on national broadcasts including World Soccer Daily and Major League Soccer Talk, while ties to the local community were developed through burgeoning football outlets like Prost Amerika Soccer and Goal Seattle.Caulfield states, “Seattle’s appetite for soccer is well documented, and the 35,000 supporters that show up at Qwest Field on Saturdays is proof of this. But the city’s love of the game extends beyond obvious means.
